Expertise
Ms. Wasmus specialises in providing legal advice in crisis and insolvency situations. She advises creditors, companies, shareholders, and investors on all aspects of insolvency and restructuring.
She takes over the enforcement of creditors’ rights in insolvency proceedings and supports the implementation of going-concern agreements to ensure the legally compliant execution of contractual relationships.
Ms. Wasmus advises companies and shareholders on operational and financial restructuring and turnaround measures, including the preparation and implementation of insolvency and restructuring plans (in accordance with the German Insolvency Code (InsO) and the Corporate Stabilization and Restructuring Act (StaRUG)), as well as on the implementation of scenario analyses to identify options for crisis management.
In addition, she accompanies companies through self-administration and protective shield proceedings to enable successful restructuring.
Furthermore, Ms. Wasmus provides comprehensive advice to managing directors, boards and supervisory boards regarding their personal liability risks in crisis situations.
Another key aspect of her advisory services is providing support to investors and sellers in corporate transactions, particularly in the context of insolvency proceedings.
To the full range of servicesMost recently, Ms. Wasmus spent five years working at an international corporate law firm in the area of insolvency-related legal and restructuring consulting; initially as a legal clerk and, since 2022, as an attorney.
Ms. Wasmus studied law at Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg and completed her legal clerkship at the Regional Court of Limburg an der Lahn.
