3. Hosting

Our website is hosted by netcup GmbH, Emmy-Noether-Straße 10, 76131 Karlsruhe, Germany. When you access our website, netcup, acting as our processor, automatically collects information in so-called server log files which your browser transmits automatically.

We have concluded a data processing agreement (Auftragsverarbeitungsvertrag) with netcup pursuant to Article 28 GDPR, which ensures that netcup processes the data of our website visitors solely in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the requirements of the GDPR.

The legal basis for the use of hosting services is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a reliable and secure provision of our website).

4. Collection of general information when visiting our website

Nature and purpose of processing

When you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically collected. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your internet service provider, your IP address and similar data.

This data is processed in particular for the following purposes:

  • Ensuring a seamless connection to the website
  • Ensuring the smooth use of our website
  • Evaluating system security and stability
  • Optimising our website

We do not use your data to draw conclusions about your identity. Information of this nature may be statistically analysed by us in anonymised form in order to optimise our website and the underlying technology.

Legal basis

The processing is carried out pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website.

Recipients

The recipient of the data is netcup GmbH in its capacity as technical service provider and processor.

Retention period

The data is erased as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected. In the case of data serving the provision of the website, this is generally the case when the respective session has ended. In the case of data stored in log files, this occurs after no more than 14 days. Storage beyond this period is possible. In such cases, the IP addresses of users are anonymised so that it is no longer possible to identify the accessing client.

Provision prescribed or required

The provision of the aforementioned personal data is neither required by law nor by contract. However, without the IP address, the service and functionality of our website cannot be guaranteed. Furthermore, individual services may be unavailable or restricted. For this reason, an objection is excluded.

5. Cookies

This website does not use cookies. No tracking, analytics or other cookies are set. No tracking of your user behaviour takes place.

6. Contact Form

Nature and purpose of processing

The data you enter is stored for the purpose of individual communication with you. The provision of a valid email address and your name is required for this purpose. This serves to allocate the enquiry and to provide a subsequent response. The provision of further data is optional.

When the contact form is submitted, the data you have entered is transmitted to us by email and stored in our email system.

Legal basis

The processing is carried out on the basis of a legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where you contact us in order to request a quotation, the processing is carried out for the performance of pre-contractual measures (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Disclosure to third parties

Your contact data is not disclosed to third parties.

Retention period

Data is erased no later than 6 months after the enquiry has been dealt with. Where a contractual relationship is established, we are subject to the statutory retention periods under the German Commercial Code (Handelsgesetzbuch, HGB) and shall erase your data upon expiry of those periods.

Provision prescribed or required

The provision of your personal data is voluntary. However, we can only process your enquiry if you provide us with your name, email address and the reason for your enquiry.

7. Contact by Email

Where you contact us by email, the data you provide (your email address, and where applicable your name and telephone number) is stored by us in order to respond to your enquiry. We erase the data collected in this connection once storage is no longer necessary, or restrict processing where statutory retention obligations apply.

Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Where the email contact is aimed at the conclusion of a contract, the additional legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

8. Locally Embedded Fonts

Our website uses fonts (Crimson Pro, Open Sans). These fonts are stored locally on our server and are loaded from there. No connection to external servers (e.g. Google Fonts) is established. No personal data is transmitted to third parties in this connection.

9. SSL/TLS Encryption

In order to protect the security of your data during transmission, we use encryption methods (TLS) via HTTPS which correspond to the current state of the art.

10. Information regarding your right to object pursuant to Article 21 GDPR

Right to object on grounds relating to your particular situation

You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning you which is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (data processing on the basis of a balancing of interests); this also applies to profiling based on that provision within the meaning of Article 4(4) GDPR.

If you lodge an objection, we shall no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
